A Little Bit About Me…<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Andy Hempel, a Texas artist, was born in Corpus Christi and spent his early school years in Houston, Texas. Andy’s creative spirit came to life during his college years while pursuing a degree in fine art.<\/p>\n

Interrupted by world events in the early 70’s, he traded his small artist brushes for the big brushes of a commercial painting contractor, which led to a career as a successful Central Texas builder of luxury homes and condominiums. His artistic skills enabled him to create design elements that were both functional and aesthetically pleasing.<\/p>\n

Years later, Andy has now returned to his small artist brushes and is creating works of art that reflect his unique perspective in color and style and his love for the outdoors.<\/p>\n

“I work primarily in oils as it allows me to blend colors in a way that really brings to the canvas the flow of water and sky in particular. I like to bring enhanced color to familiar scenes I have enjoyed from my life and travels in Texas. My latest works have included people including myself enjoying life here in the Lone Star State.”<\/p>\n
